The
Administrative Building of the Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University
has been constructed at Guindy, Chennai in an area of 10.84 acres. The building
has been designed to have a total of 6 floors both in the front and rear
wings. The total constructed plinth area is 1.00 lakh Sq. ft at a cost
of 4.95 crore. Front porch which consists of a large architechra dome of
height 18m has been erected in front of the building. The University stands on a six storeyed building housing 1. Administrative Office 2. The Department of Experimental Medicine 3. The Department of Curriculum Development 4. The Department of Epidemiology 5. The Regional Medical Library 6. The Medical Informatics Centre and 7. Common Examination halls which serves as a common examination centres for Medical, Dental, Nursing and Paramedical Courses. |
