Instructions to Candidates who have NOT come  In-person to receive their

Degree Certificate at the  Convocation

 

A candidate who had applied to receive the Degree    `‘IN PERSON’ but failed to attend the Convocation, the Degree Certificate will be sent by Registered post  to the candidate only. The candidate has to submit the following

      1)      Xerox copy of Photo identity card of the candidate/Voter ID card/Driving license / Passport

2)      Copy of the provisional certificate

3)       Remit Rs.500/- as penal fee for getting Degree/Diploma Certificate thereafter from this University within a period  of  six months from  the date of  Convocation.    A fee of Rs.1,000/- beyond six months upto one year, Rs.3,000/- beyond one year upto five years and Rs.10,500/-beyond five years subject to revision of the above fees from time to time.

4)      The prescribed fee should be sent only in the form of a crossed Demand Draft drawn on any Nationalized Banks/Scheduled Banks in favour of the Registrar, The TamilNadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, payable at Chennai.  On the backside of the D.D. candidate should write his/her name, Registration Number, course and institution.  This fee can also be remitted into the I.O.B Extension counter at the University premises and the cash remittance challan be enclosed with the application.  The fees once remitted by the candidate will not be refunded.

 

 

       

Based on the G.O. Ms. No. 184 of Higher Education (J2) Department, Chennai dated 9.6.2005, the 34th Standing Academic Board of this University held on 17.12.2007 and resolved that improvement marks CANNOT be considered for admission from 2008-2009 onwards for all Under Graduate (U.G.) courses
